Newly  Launched Website :http://herbalteaindia.com                                                  August-2011

Herbal teas, also called tisanes or ptisan are different from regular teas as they do not come from the Camellia sinensis plant that produces white, green, oolong and black tea. Herbal tea is made with fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds or roots, generally by pouring boiling water over the plant parts and letting them steep for a few minutes.

Benefits of herbal tea are:

  • Helps strengthen the immune system
  • Rejuvenate your body

Cancer Treatment – Stepping Towards Mother Nature - Part II   -  by Dr. Parvathy Rajeev

Ayurveda can be helpful in the management of cancer as prophylactic (preventive), curative, palliative (preventive & curative) & supportive and no doubt it helps to improve quality of life.

Cancer cure is well known as the deadly cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agents. It is said that "The treatment is more dangerous than the diseases." The success rate of chemotherapy in cancer is always debatable in most instances, but its side effects have no doubt, which include mucositis (mouth ulcers, vomiting, loose motions etc), phlebitis (skin discoloration with veins paining), leucopenia (low WBC counts with increased chances of infection), hair loss etc. Ayurvedic therapy is a blessing for all these patients who are suffering from chemo toxicity.

Cancer prevention is targeted towards creating balance and harmony through diet, lifestyle, herbs, meditation, pranayama, yoga and cleansing the body of its toxic load through specific Ayurvedic procedures known as Panchkarma.
Purifying or cleansing the blood and blocked channels are the main treatments for cancer
This can be achieved through
  • Herbal treatment
  • External treatment
  • Yoga
  • Changing diet and life style
The therapeutic approach of Ayurveda has been divided into four categories-
Prakritisthapan chikitsa – Preventive aspects
Roganashani Chikitsa – Cure of disease
Rasayana chikitsa- Restoration of normal function
Naishthiki chikitsa – spiritual approach
